Question on cost of Legend in HB

I was searching the internet for a copy of Mr Gemmells book Legend in Hard cover. I found two instances of this copy, published by Century in London in 1985. One was going for $1795.00 and the other for $900, neither was signed. Does anyone know if this is really what the book is worth, the reason I am asking is because I have this book and was wondering if I have a hidden treasure.

Thank You

Re: Question on cost of Legend in HB

the question is, is it a first edition if it is it could be worth a bit of cash I've had a quick search and found 1 hardback first edition selling for £500($920 approx) so if it is could be good to have and the next time I'm at a car boot sale will be looking out for it

Re: Question on cost of Legend in HB

The original was published in 84 although a hardback didnt come out until 86 as a limited run. Generally the price commanded by these hardbacks are around the £8-900 mark so if you can get one cheaper youre doing alright, although I would suggest finding out what damage there is to it first. Like you SA Im always on the look out for them at car boots and should I find them you'll probably hear the manic laughter from somewhere in England.

Around the same sort of price. However very few out there are unsigned. I know of one guy who discovered a box of them in his loft, but lets just say it wont take him long to get them signed. LOL

Well I am selling my copy, rather reluctantly, but circumstances dictate that I do, on Ebay. Going between $500-$700. Actually, I have seen ex lib copies going for a lot higher, but oh well.

Re: Question on cost of Legend in HB

Just make sure that you've got it on World Wide sales, as if its a UK copy of the original, you should be getting a descent price. But if you havent listed it yet find out the postage with insurance and without. It covers your backside so that you can let them know.

Re: Question on cost of Legend in HB

Yes, I put it on Europe, Canada and Australia also. Have a BIN price of $700.00, with me paying for shipping/insurance.

Thanks
