I know exactly what you mean - Brandon Lee was always trying to get out of the shadow of his father, and he came accross a script which he believed he could do that with... his performance in "the Crow" was perfect, almost like he was destined to play that char yet.
The way they died may have been different, but it seems like they both hit that "perfect" roll, and anybody else who even attempts to recreate the char is going to have the hardest up hill fight of their lives
