I approached her with 3 friends round a table and said "hey, are you ok" as she looked drunk and tired. She said she was drunk. I asked her name and said "thats a lovely name", and kissed her hand. Then I put my arm around her waist and we chatted about the music for a minute or so, and I said "I think your very sexy, you are very beautiful" and she started laughing.

Then I said "would you kiss me" and she said "er..I need to ask my friends! Theyre all watching! " So she asked the other 3 chicks and they all said it was ok. So I leaned into her mouth for a snog, put she pulled away and pecked my cheek. I said "hey, its ok if you don't like me in that way, its lovely to meet you anyway" (looking casual, unfazed - pick up master) She said "its nice to meet you too". We chatted like friends for a bit more.

Then, her 3 friends went to the bar for drinks, leaving us alone. I said again "I think your really sexy" and I tried to kiss her again, and she went for it !

Then, I read that a chick likes it if you build comfort before escalating contact, so I chatted to her more, with my arms round her. She showed me her ring that her grandad gave her, and I said its nice she loves her family so much, and she told me about her upcoming birthday party (her 30th ! I thought she was younger than me)

I did the rings test (where you say what the finger she wears the ring on means) -middle finger - rebellious. I said "i know you better than you know yourself now, becasue of my mind reading powers," and she found it funny.

And we kissed a bit more, but each time not for long, because I wanted to build comfort, so we chatted more.

I also left her and her friends a few times and them came back a few times, to show that I am casual enough to give her space and let us enjoy time apart. I think I sensed it was the right times - I would have stayed with her all night if she wanted me to.

Anyway she had to go home in a taxi and her home was far away (they were getting a train too), but I have the number ..

PS another thing I learned....Never say "Can I have your number" - that puts pressure on, makes them feeling like they're giving you something...say "can we swap numbers, to keep in touch". that what I did.

Oh, I don't know, random thoughts and all that. I am fairly impressed that the mark waited while he stopped to read about building comfort.
