Two days till my last final, and I'm watching Saiyuki : Reload. Life is good.

When I read books written over a hundred years ago, it strikes me that an author put his/her thoughts down on the printed page, then died, and the book has waited all this time for me to take it off the shelf and give thought and life to those words. Makes me wonder about the thousands (millions?) of books that I have passed over.

There are a lot of really peculiar people in the world. Most of them make us around here look positively normal. Now, that's an interesting concept.

I hate pennies. I resent having to carry them, and would prefer that all of my purchases and paycheques be rounded off to the nearest nickel. Last night, while it was too hot to sleep, I was throwing pennies out the window into the alley, just to hear them ping off the railings and pavement and echo between the buildings. After about 50 pennies' worth, I leaned out the window to try to catch any breeze, and there was a man in a robe and slippers wandering around collecting the pennies. I wonder what pennies mean to him, and what he thinks about pennies that drop from above.

Was it not? I did not sleep last night, and am probably a poor judge. Maybe one of the mods could move it to the pennies conference.

In the movie Dark City, the city and people were remade every midnight. I think in life that the new day is made at 3:52 a.m. If you aren't asleep at that time, you aren't remade for the new day, and now have to spend an entire day being the wrong person for that day.

Another one is what if God was Satan, and Satan was God, and that one day someone found out and had to tell everyone they are worshipping the wrong dude...

If that were true advertisers would place commercials of things that were under ten dollars ($9.95). That far too close to being honest.
