The same sort of attitude was levelled at The Golden Compass - that Pullman is an atheist, therefore he promotes immoral behaviour. Absolute bollocks, of course. Non-christians are as moral - or even as amoral or immoral - as christians. Harry Potter might well feature wizardry and witchcraft, but that has nothing to do with any moral framework the books might promote. |
