two draws against Vanilla this season. plus, Hull got spanked: am executing Crouch-esque robotics as we speak.

Manchester City's win at Fulham is almost surprising as their win at Chelsea. I'm finally beginning to believe we may get 4th. But for that silly run of 8 draws in November / December we may have made 3rd!

Just when I thought it couldn't get worse, Dundee are after our manager (the dark blues, not Seph's lot).

And Wolves has bagged the three points at Upton Park, beating West Ham by three goals to one.

Re: Football (Soccer to those across the pond)

I was particularly pleased with that result.

There seems** to be (and has been for decades) a fair bit of unjustified support for West Ham at the BBC, which gets up my nose a bit.

A lot more important than that, the poor way in which that past scandal over Tevez was handled leads me to believe that natural justice should be applied: so it's high time West Ham got to play some Championship football.

** - Although maybe it's just me seeing things that aren't there.

I think Hull and Burnley are going to fight them hard for the privilege.

Dont get too cocky, the third place is Chelsea who is 3 p from the lead. City would never get as much point as that. They dont have the quality for that.

Tottenham will get the 4th place. City has top teams left to meet.

There is a reason City has choked the hole season, not been a stable 4th place team. Teves cant change that on his own.

Dundee Utd 1 - 0 Rangers

That should please Ace, and send Seph into orbit...

Don't you just love last-minute winning goals?

Portsmouth 0 - 5 - Chelsea...(tries not to smirk...)

Got to be the low-key headline of the season:

Ancelotti "satisfied" after 5-0 win

And with St Mirren - St Mirren! - beating Celtic 4-0, I think that orbit might be quite a high one.

Spurs play Arsenal, Chelsea, and United successively. They could conceivably lose 3 in a row. And they still have to face City away.

Most entertaining title and 4th place race in a long while. Shame Everton couldn't get their act together earlier.

Re: Football (Soccer to those across the pond)

HT: Burnley 0 - 1 Blackburn

Mike Dean you son of a... with eyesight like that, I'm surprised he feels comfortable crossing the street.

Olsson dives in the box, not touched by anyone, and the penalty is given. Blackburn score, and we're trailing. I'd be less angry if they'd scored properly, but with help from the 12th man? F- that.

Even better than that, we should have had a penalty - Samba took Elliot out at the other end, but Mike Dean gave a free kick outside the box. Samba's knee caught Elliot inside the box and, because of that, it's apparently a foul in the box (words of three pundits - not a rule I've heard of, tbh), and thus a penalty.

What's really confusing is that having given a penalty, Jensen or Mears should have been sent off for stopping a goal-scoring chance, but neither were booked, yet at the other end, no penalty was given but Samba was given a yellow. Srsly? What is he playing at...

Not happy at all. I'd hate to be the police on duty today.

EDIT: Super. Fantastic. Absolutely -ing wonderful! The Blackburn keeper clearly handles the ball outside the box, and what does Mike Dean do? Pretty obvious, really - absolutely nothing. Fire is too good for him.

FT: Burnley 0 - 1 Blackburn

And that's that. A must-win game ruined by awful decisions...

Half of me can't wait to get out of this league of incompetent decisions and stupid decisions.

Where's Ross? Tell him I'm looking forward to our meetings in the Championship next season.

Johnstone's Paint Trophy - Final:

Carlisle 1 - 4 Southampton

It's a trophy, it was a Wembley final, and the Saints won it well. I'm not complaining...
