*imagines Wolves thrashing Sheff Utd in Premier League, watching from the away end at Bramall Lane...*

Now you're just being greedy....

( I mean, don't you want Lenny's Burnley to knock Utd out in the playoffs?)

hmmm. dealing with my manager afterwards would be hellish.

and besides, i'd like to repeat my stunt from November, when i garnered the team's autographs on my match programme and left it pinned over his desk.....

What on earth makes you think that, Ursa?...

Yes, it looks as if we're truly doomed now, with or without the potential loss of ten points from the FA.

Huddersfield, Hartlepool and Yeovil next year - and, hopefully, Carlisle as well...

The fewer points Sheff Utd get before the playoffs, the better (we might get lucky and see them knocked out of the top six altogether! But that'll let Preston in... hmmm...) - we've still got a way to go. Four points clear of Preston, and other than our matches against Cardiff and Sheff Utd., we're playing teams who need a lot of luck to get into the playoffs, and will do their best to drag us down, QPR being the first tomorrow. It's taken a lot of luck to get this far, I just hope it will last to the finals and beyond - if we make it then a herd of wild horses won't keep me from the finals!

Just had a look at the fixtures for tomorrow - if Blackpool beat Preston then when I go back to Uni I'm going to give the resident Blackpool fan a big, wet, sloppy kiss. Oh, and we've got to beat QPR as well. Should be interesting. I hate to say it, but come on Palace, too!

It's nice to see the table starting to even out after the madness of the cups - seeing some teams with two games in hand, whilst others trailed with a lot to play made me nervous. Now the only one that could cause upset is Cardiff...

EDIT: Wait a minute... if we do manage to go up, then we'll pass West Brom on their way down! No fair! I want to laugh at the corridor Baggies fan some more.

At least we get two chances to take home some trophies from Blackburn players. It's been far too long! Do we have an evil grin emoticon yet?

Don't know if anyone else saw it, but I think the BBC did an excellent job covering the 20th anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster on Football Focus today. Very well done to Manish Bhasin and the rest of the Football Focus guys.

And Burnley beats QPR 1-0, the goal scored by someone by the name of Carlisle.

(Preston and Sheffield Utd both lose, Birmingham draws, and Cardiff is currently one goasl up.)

Re: Football (Soccer to those across the pond)

Just been listening to BBC radio 5 live coverage of the MU game via News Radio in Melbourne. Sounds like they were lucky to get a 1-0 win with the new wunderkind (wonder boy) aged 17 scoring 2 goals in 2 matches. Not a bad showing I would have thought.

2am Easter day here, so I'm going to catch some ZZZZZZZZZssss....

Saints are 7 points clear of us, so they'll be the ones on the wrong end of the Premier League next season.

I'd feel sorry for anyone else.

Sheffield United are on the up!

Birmingham will be pooing themselves. Could have done with Charlton beating them yesterday but a 0-0 is good enough. They've also got to play Reading on the last day of the season.

The end of the season is going to be a nail biter!

Sheff Utd? We're going to drag them back down into the playoffs. Better get the tissues ready for next Monday, you SU fans!

Cardiff today. Should be interesting. My money is on a goal-less draw.

Re: Football (Soccer to those across the pond)

You can say that again, Lenny, with both Swansea and Preston winning away from home. But Wolves got their points (as did the Saints).

I'm not so confident about Sheff Utd next Monday now.

Nice to see Southampton win one, particularly over Palace!

Oh, and poor Luton.
