Which song or band do you hate most?

Seeing as how there are so many threads about which songs you like the best I decided to shake it up a bit. I want to know which song or artist you hate the most, really despise you know...for me it would have to be....well there are so many but....

For the artisit it would be James Blunt
For the song it would have to be My Humps by the Black-Eyed Peas....

Artist wise, I am not a big fan of girls aloud, and all reality tv bands, I get that they work just as hard to get where they are, but do they really have to bring out some absolutely pants songs!

I suspect my base parameters are different from everyone else; you can't really hate a number if you can get up and turn the radio down - at least not to the level that you can if you're forced to listen to the thing at 60kWatts every evening for three months, or heard it thirty times a day in the recording studio: (plus extra for video shoots, radio interviews…
So I'm putting up "Going for the one" by Yes, for which I did both of these things, and if I never hear it again it'll be a nice, nostalgic silence.

Similarly, a musician (or band, but usually it's an individual musician who achieves absolute detestation) isn't judged by musical talent or even how often he changes his socks, but sheer annoyingness; and for this award I propose :drum roll Mr. Van Morrison, for pure, selfish paranoia. There are many other competitors in the running, male, female and otherwise, but I can't think of anyone who's tempted quite so much me to attach 380 volt three phase electricity to his mic stand.

Insane Clown Posse is a rabid, nasty, depressing, violent, profane, death-oriented hate band. their emblem is a bloody clown carrying a meat cleaver. They exercise great influence over younger minds and are the most despicable example you could think of for your children. If you are a parent, be warned.

Wow, with a name and logo like that, I can't help but like them even though their music style isn't what I care for.

Anyway, cornelius hit the nail on the head, there's just too much garbage out there to possibly contain in one thread, so I'll just name a few that I despise, yet can't help but be exposed to. You may wish to ready the rotten fruit, because I know many of these are popular with most people:

Nirvana: Kurt Cocaine's voice is like a laboring donkey sealed in a public restroom. All those top 40 stations need to let his music die with him.

Metallica, to a degree: I actually like anything from the black album and before, however "Load" and everything after it is just...well the album name "Load" describes it perfectly.

Nearly all modern-day "mainstream alternative" drivel: Puddle of Mud, Coldplay, Linkin Park, and plenty of others I can't be bothered to recall off the top of my head. They all get lumped together because there really doesn't seem to be any difference in what they sound like anymore. Mass-produced corporate trend music for great failure!

Standard-issue Rap: I won't say it's "talentless" because I know it isn't. Instead, I'll just say it's annoying and usually about some guy bragging about how "gangsta" he is, or how hard ghetto life is.

I honestly don't know that I really hate any musicians or particular songs. I used to, but these days I largely feel a great sense of sadness or get annoyed with the person who is making me listen to such nonesense.

However a few groups/artists that bug me are Wolfmother, Grinspoon and Fifty Cents.

I don't dislike Wolfmother because it's derivative - I dislike it because the production on the album sucked everything that worked out of the EP versions of some of the tracks, and left soulless, nonsensical tripe with lots of widdly-woo guitar. Like a faded t-shirt.

Grinspoon I dislike on principle because a lot of the tracks trade on some dumbed-down, sex-and-drugs-and-rock-and-roll party aesthetic that says nothing, and really aren't very good at all. Especially as their last big single ripped-off a Powderfinger track something rotten. Although they have a few good songs and I'm only going off the radio singles. I would like them more if people didn't like them so much despite such obvious flaws, but they are basically the poor man's Australian Kiss.

Fifty Cents is just a lame knob showboating about unadmirable things, without the necessary talent to pull it off. He is representative of a whole host of things that give hip-hop a bad rap.

As for songs, I've got nothing that comes to mind.

I couldn't agree more...and yet he is literally worshipped by a ton of kids at my school.
