Rockstar has announced that LA Noire: The Complete Edition will be arriving on the PS3 and Xbox next month.

It was already announced for the PC back in September, arriving on November 11th. The Complete Edition will emerge on consoles a week later on the 18th.

The complete version includes the original game, of course, along with all the DLC which has been released to date.

That encompasses a number of fresh cases, including the “Nicholson Electroplating” arson case, the “Reefer Madness” vice case, “The Consul’s Car” traffic case, “The Naked City” vice case and “A Slip of the Tongue” traffic case (sounds more like vice again to us).

As well as that lot, you’ll also get all the extra weapons and outfits which have been made available, along with the Badge Pursuit Challenge.

LA Noire, in case you somehow missed it, is a post World War II thriller which features detective work aplenty, alongside some driving and shooting. It also does a great line in cinematic performances in terms of the characters, animation and script.

Indeed, the facial motion capture technology used to make the characters’ expressions lifelike helped lead the game to being an official selection of the 2011 Tribeca Film Festival.

Sadly, the developer of LA Noire, Team Bondi, has been closed down since the game was launched. There was controversy aplenty about long hours and working conditions involved in making the title, which took seven years to finish, partly due to a high turnover of staff by all accounts.

LA Noire: The Complete Edition will set you back £39.99 when it arrives on consoles in November, so if you haven’t yet experienced its blend of sleuthing and action, then now’s the time to take the plunge. Or November is, rather.
