Nexon has announced its free-to-play massively multiplayer RPG is headed for Europe in the fourth quarter of 2011.

Vindictus, which last year scooped IGN’s award for the Best Free-to-Play MMO, is a physics-based action RPG which features pacey combat.

The game employs a modified version of the Source engine to make interaction with the environment a core combat aspect, so players can hurl and shatter objects, use chains to tangle up enemies, break down walls so there’s nowhere to hide, and so on.

Hand-to-hand grappling along with wear and tear to your armour is also replicated in quite realistic sounding fashion.

Nexon claims that Vindictus has apparently already been a big success over in the States where it has already launched.

If you want to find out more about the game, have a peek at the official website and whet your appetite.

Nexon will be showing off the MMORPG at E3 next week and unveiling some new content.
