New pics revealed for Confrontation
Focus Home Interactive has announced the availability of new images for its upcoming game Confrontation.
Developed by Cyanide Studio of Blood Bowl fame, this is another video game adaptation of a board game, in this case Rackham’s fantasy miniature wargame Confrontation.
Apparently it’s a mix of strategy and role-playing elements with the emphasis on tactics, as well as cleaving orcs’ heads off, of course.
The player will need to develop their squad of soldiers and creatures throughout the campaign, put their abilities to good use, and consider other tactical factors during combat such as the environment.
A multiplayer mode is also promised with four factions – Griffin, Scorpion, Wolfen and Orc – all of which are keen to spill each other’s blood and generally behave unpleasantly towards one another.
The new images are up on the official website and show off the brutal Orcs of Bran-O-Kor among other monsters you wouldn’t want to meet in a dark alley at night. Or indeed a light alley during the day.
Confrontation will be available on the PC in the fourth quarter of 2011.
