Mount & Blade: With Fire and Sword now out
Paradox has announced the release of the With Fire and Sword expansion for its action RPG Mount & Blade.
The standalone expansion is available on Steam priced at £10, or you can pick up Mount & Blade: Complete for £35, which includes the original game and Warband along with this latest instalment.
The sandbox strategic role-player promises battles aplenty with the addition of firearms as the player takes on rival armies with muskets and pistols.
An immersive campaign with multiple endings, a pile of fresh quests, plus a new castle and town upgrade system along with enhanced siege mechanics are all here. Players will now be able to poison the well (just not cricket, really) or blow up walls to gain control of that fortress.
It wouldn’t be Mount & Blade without some work on the multiplayer, and indeed With Fire and Sword adds 15 multiplayer maps along with a new mode of play. Captain Team Deathmatch allows each player to command a squad of bots in battle, which could be much fun (or possibly quite frustrating, we shall see).
The game is out now so hop on over to Steam or your preferred digital download medium, strap on your shield and chainmail, and then wonder how much good that’ll do against your enemies who’ll now be pelting you with a volley of musket-fire.
