The latest expansion for Everquest II, Destiny of Velious, is available for pre-order, with a time limited price for the Collector’s Edition.

Destiny of Velious is an all-in-one compilation package which comes loaded up with everything EQ2; the base game plus the seven expansions, and three adventure packs. The works, by any other name.

The expansion itself is set in the great wastes of Velious, where towering dungeons, nasty beasts and epic quests are waiting. And hopefully no hugely drawn out camping sessions (who are we kidding).

Major new features include flying mounts (keeping up with the Joneses), 300 new quests, four new raid instances, two fresh overland zones, 10 dungeons and a huge contested dungeon. Not to mention four new heritage quests, and the usual ridiculous stacks of loot.

You can now pre-order Destiny of Velious for $40, or bag the Collector’s edition, which contains a number of bonus items, for the cheaper price of $60 (this will go up to $90 on February 22nd, the expansion’s launch day).

The Collector’s bonus items in question include a loyal Snow Hound pet, and an Everfrost prestige summer home. Ahh, Everfrost… such memories of hunting Karg Icebear for the Gigantic Zweihander. The infernal git never did show up, much like the goblin with the black iron bastard sword.
