Another X-Files movie on the way?

It seems that there could be another X-Files movie on the way (that we can watch with no lights on), to perhaps erase the memory of the not very well received 2008 feature (The X-Files: I Want to Believe).
Or there might not be. Blastr reports that a French magazine called TVMag interviewed David Duchovny, who said that a new film was “in the process of being written”, and was just waiting for the green light from Fox.
However, Blastr continues its piece by clarifying this with an article from Collider, who were apparently contacted by Duchovny’s people who stated that what he said had been lost in translation. In other words, there is no new film in the pipeline.
Of course, he could have spoken out of turn, and the latter statement represents an attempt at damage control. We hope that’s the case, as while we did get rather sick of the X-Files writers making it up as they went along (even more so than Lost – and that’s saying something), we’d still watch another flick.
