Missing Lost yet? We’ve got the box set release coming in September, of course, complete with a bonus feature epilogue, ten minutes exploring what happened on the island when Linus and Hurley were left in charge.

Anyhow, that aside, there’s a new project on the horizon for J.J. Abrams and Bad Robot, The Hollywood Reporter has revealed, and the movie is called Boilerplate.

It’s based on Boilerplate: History’s Mechanical Marvel, a picture book by Paul Guinan and Anina Bennett which tells the story of a Victorian robot, the world’s first mechanical man who fought alongside the likes of Pancho Villa and Lawrence of Arabia.

Initially, Boilerplate was actually a website project that Guinan created to pitch for a graphic novel a decade ago, but to his amusement, many visitors to the site thought that Boilerplate was real and actually existed.

It certainly sounds like it has the potential to make an interesting film, and as all this sort of hybrid stuff is going down well at the moment, with Bad Robot behind it, the movie could be a winner.
