StarCraft II prepares midnight launch event
All set for blast off when it comes to Blizzard’s much awaited StarCraft sequel, Wings of Liberty?
If you’re really keen, and live near London (or you’re massively, massively keen and willing to travel), then the game’s launch event could well be worth checking out.
You’ll be able to get your hands on a mint copy of StarCraft, and be one of the first in the country to do so, if you head to the Game store at 100 Oxford Street in London, on the night of July 26th.
Doors will open at 11pm, allowing you to bag your copy before the official launch date of the 27th.
A couple of other bonuses will be available as well, including a member of the game’s development team who will be there to sign copies of StarCraft II.
A Collector’s Edition will also be on offer, which will contain a range of bonus items including an art book, comic, sound track CD, behind the scenes DVD, a 2GB USB flash drive replica of a dog-tag, and exclusive downloadable content.
That’s quite a bundle of extras. The original StarCraft has sold more than 11 million copies worldwide, and it should be very interesting to see how the sequel fares.
