Lilly from Lost signed up for Real Steel

Evangeline Lilly, better known as Kate from Lost, has been signed on for the up and coming sci-fi drama Real Steel, according to a report in Variety.
Lilly will bring her special brand of pouting while looking slightly pissed off to the Dreamworks film, along with Anthony Mackie, who has also been recruited to the cast.
Mackie, who played the more sensible bomb disposal guy in The Hurt Locker, and Lilly will join Hugh Jackman who is the star of the movie.
He plays a former boxer who is training a 2000lb robot pugilist, and Lilly will apparently be cast as a friend of his, with Mackie taking the role of a boxing promoter.
It’s far too early to judge, of course, but we’ve a sneaking suspicion this isn’t going to be a knock-out production – at best, perhaps a robotic Rocky, and at worst, a slightly up-scale version of Robot Wars.
Let’s see if the opposing fighters are called Sergeant Bash and Sir Killalot (or the US Robot Wars equivalent).
You never know, it might be fun, and you certainly can’t knock that trio of star and co-stars. The estimated release date is slated to be late next year.
