There have been several recent films looking at how society treats others, District 9 and the Children of Men are two good examples.

So it is fair to say that we are due for another look into society and it seems that “I’m Mortal” could be the story to do it.

New Regency a part of the Fox organisation are currently negotiating with the writer of I’m Mortal, Andrew Niccol, who may be remembered for “Gattaca”.

The story takes place in the not too distant future, growing old is no longer a problem because people do not age, so time becomes the most valuable commodity in the world, where the wealthy are able to live forever and the poor struggle to survive.

I’m Mortal is set to become a masterpiece of science fiction, so long as it gets off the ground.
