Is the Comic Con Moving?

The annual Comic Con has developed over the years into one of the main science fiction events of the year and anyone who is anyone in the genre must be there.
However, as the event develops the crowds increase, this means more traffic, less hotel space and the one thing that everyone hates queues no Comic Con would be complete without the queues!
Therefore, with the contract with the San Diego Convention Centre running out in 2012 is it time that the Comic Con moved.
Anaheim thinks so and believes that the $60 million that is spent on hotels, food and transport could be well spent there, because there is more space and that is all really.
Should the Comic Con move from its long standing home for pastures new?

It’s been 20 years since I lived in San Diego, so I don’t know what the infrastructure is like, but I do know that once an event gets too big, it has to move to survive. I’ve never been to Anaheim but I’m sure that if it can produce enough hotels, restaurants, other attractions AND have easier traffic solutions, then it will win out, hands down! I look forward to one day making it out to Comic Con, whether it be in San Diego or Anaheim.
