It was back in the summer of last year when the Sci-Fi Channel was rebranded into SyFy to reflect the more general type of content that is being broadcast.
But in the UK the channel run by Universal Networks International, the Sci-Fi Channel remained in place, however on Tuesday the 13th April at 10 pm the Sci-Fi Channel in the UK will become SyFy in line with the US brand.
This rebrand will bring the channel into alignment with the US and therefore reflect the science fiction and fantasy nature of the content now being shown on the network.
The changeover will coincide with the UK premiere of V, the remake of the hit sci-fi series from the 1980’s.
