Keanu Reeve is no stranger to science fiction having been in many of the best and worst films in the genre, it seems that despite having played memorable roles in such as The Matrix, The Day The Earth Stood Still and of course Bill and Ted, he has the urge for sci-fi/romance.

This would seem be the theme in his latest film Passengers. It is set on a space ship travelling to a distant planet; it is so far away that the passengers must be put into a cryogenic sleep for a hundred years.

Unfortunately, for Keanu Reeves his character is woken just ten years into the journey and faces spending his entire life alone, unless he wakes someone else up.

This has the basis of a good story; it all depends on who he decides to wake up. Will they be happy to realise that their life will be over before the ship arrives at its destination?
