Being taken to the High Court by George Lucas is nothing to take lightly especially when it is over copyrights.
But this is no pirating of videos or anything like that, the case is against the man that designed and built the famous white Stormtrooper helmet.
Andrew Ainsworth was awarded to the contract to design and build fifty of the storm trooper helmets at price of £35 each.
However back in 2004 he came across one of the original helmets in a cupboard and promptly sold to a collector, this gave him the idea for a business in replica Stormtrooper outfits and of course Mr Lucas was not happy.
But in court the judges decided that considering that Lucasfilm has received over £6 billion from merchandising since 1977, the sale a few outfits could not be enforced, the legal bill for Lucas is estimated to be £500,000!
