The latest science fiction offering from the BBC, Paradox got off to a reasonable start attracting around 4.1 million viewers, 16.3 per cent share of the viewing figure for between 9pm and 10om.
The jury is still out as to whether the BBC were brave or crazy to put a sci-fi drama such as Paradox up against the reality TV show, I’m a celebrity get me out of here.
In fact, if the two programmes were put head to head, then Paradox would have lost hands down, as I’m a celebrity get me out of here attracted 7.8 million viewers, which is a thirty one per cent share of total.
Of course, it is not fair to compare the two programmes at all, as they attract completely different audiences, although the figures for episode two of Paradox will tell the real story of how this show was received.
