This weekend the Sci-Fi Channel will become known as just SyFy and it will come with a new slogan too “Imagine Greater”.

This is move that will see the channel move slightly away from science fiction and more towards mainstream entertainment, although it has to be said that the channels content already reflects that move.

To get things off to a good start, SyFy will be launching a spectacular new series simple named “Warehouse 13” the series follows two secret service agents who after saving the Presidents life are rewarded with the job of looking after a top secret government warehouse.

Based in South Dakota the agents assist the caretaker of the facility in finding and storing all of the artefacts and mysterious objects that the US Government has procured over the years.

It is not yet known whether the UK Sci-Fi channel will be following the US lead, but one thing is for sure some favourite Sci-Fi content is on the cards such Stargate spin off SGU-Startgate Universe and the Battlestar Gallactica spin off Caprica.
