Following the successes of the “Hogfather” and “The Colour of Magic” from the books by Terry Pratchett, Sky One are in the process of producing yet another classic from the writer.

Production of “Going Postal” is under way in Budapest, Hungary. Where the all British cast including Richard Coyle as Moist Von Lipwig, David Suchet as Reacher Gilt, Charles Dance as Lord Vetinari, and Claire Foy as Adora Belle Dearheart, Steve Pemberton as Drumknott, Andrew Sachs as Groat and Tamsin Greig as Miss Cripslock, have been getting to grips with the complex story.

It is understood that the two part mini series will be ready for showing over the Easter Holidays in 2010. Which is becoming the standard time slot for this sort of production on Sky One as proved in the past.

Pratchett found it very hard going working with the BBC apparently, so that means like a lot of the best in British culture – the Ashes etc – we’re going to need to pay up to Mr Murdoch to watch this!

I think I’ll wait for the DVD and get it for relatively little through LoveFilm though!

I’m looking forward to it – I read the book recently and really enjoyed it – ironically, talking about Mr Murdoch, the book casts a bit of a satirical eye over the mass media.
