ITV have scrapped yet another Sci-Fi programme, this time “Demons” is the casualty even the though the production company Shine has been talking to a major US broadcaster, believed to be the Sci-Fi Channel with a view to distribute the show throughout the US.

Shine is run by Elizabeth Murdoch, were in talks with the Sci-Fi channel for the first series of Demons.

But now, ITV have decided that this avenue is not one that they wish to pursue, and so any chance of a deal has faded.

ITV have decided to concentrate on post watershed television production, this means that expensive shows like Primeval and Demons will not fit into that bracket and so, despite a reasonable following these shows have been confined to the Sci-Fi archives of ITV.
